Here are the answers to a few frequently asked questions.

» Are your materials current?
Yes. The Patent Education Series™ is based on the current rules and laws established by the U.S Patent and Trademark Office. The Patent and Trademark Office lists and describes the rules involved with patents in the Manual Of Patent Examining Procedure (MPEP).

The currently tested MPEP is the 8th edition MPEP, Revision 4. We update our materials as new revisions and editions are tested. That way, you are sure to get the current tested information.

» Can I preview the materials?
Absolutely. Just check-out the package or the customize page and you will find all the components listed separately. You may preview the first chapter or two of both the Prep Workbook and the Guidebook to Patent Law. Just click on the "Preview this book" link near the top of the appropriate detailed description page. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat installed. You may also preview the Patent Law Online Course as well.

Also keep in mind that we offer a 30-day money back guarantee. You may use this time to preview the books, the online course and the software for yourself. If you don't feel they will help you learn patent law, just send them back. No questions asked! It's that simple.

» How long does the average person study to pass the Patent Bar?
We estimate that it takes the average individual between 150-200 hours to prepare themselves for the Patent Bar exam.

We have catered our Lesson Plan around a 90-day, part time schedule of approximately 15-20 hours a week. People have passed this exam using the Patent Education Series™ in as little as one month. On the flip side, others have spread the coursework out over 1 full year or even much longer. Just do what makes the most sense for you.

We do suggest that you begin preparing before you ever send the USPTO your application to sit for the exam. Once you are accepted, you will be given a 90-day 'window period' within which you must schedule and take the exam. In order to ensure you pass the first time, we suggest that you make it at least partially through Step 2 of our strategy, and then apply for the exam. That way, you will have the best chance of being completely ready before your 'window period' expires.

Of course, it doesn't hurt to begin preparing at your earliest convenience, especially if you have a full-time job or are in school, etc. Please realize that everyone learns at a different pace, and life can always throw you a few unexpected twists. Just be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to prepare for this exam!

Most items are shipped the following business day (Mon-Fri only). Orders placed on Friday morning will not be shipped until Monday.

We are located in Denver, Colorado, so the further you are from us, the longer it will take (the east coast takes approximately 5 business days for delivery). » Do you have a refund policy?

» Do you offer volume discounts?

» Do you offer tutoring with the purchase of your products?
No, we do not offer tutoring with the purchase of any of our products. We are confident of the completeness of our materials and that you too can pass this exam by using them. The information you need to know is within the materials, you will just need to apply yourself to learn it.

Remember, you cannot bring an instructor with you into the exam. This is an individual endeavor and will require much effort on your part regardless of the Patent Bar review tools you purchase.
