FOR LAW FIRMS
Patent training for law firms
The patent bar review course and professional development training firms use to prepare associates, technical specialists, and new hires — built by a registered patent practitioner and refined over 25 years.
WHY FIRMS CHOOSE PES
Built by a registered patent practitioner.
The course is authored and overseen by Lisa Parmley, USPTO registration #51,006 — a registered patent practitioner who has been developing patent bar training since 2001.
25 years of track record.
PES has helped thousands of candidates pass the patent bar. Every course is based on what actually works, refined continuously over more than two decades.
A structured path that new hires actually complete.
The 3-step system — foundation, material, practice — gives associates a clear roadmap instead of leaving them to navigate 4,000+ pages of the MPEP on their own.
More than just test prep.
Unlike patent-bar-only providers, PES also offers professional development training for already-registered practitioners. One provider, one coupon, full flexibility.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Firms already use PES to train:
Technical specialists preparing for the patent bar.
Engineers, scientists, and other technical hires pursuing USPTO registration as part of their career path at the firm.
Incoming associates with technical backgrounds.
Law school graduates with STEM degrees who need to pass the patent bar as part of joining the IP practice.
Registered practitioners building additional skills.
Attorneys and agents expanding into claim drafting, AI and patent law, robotics and patent law, or other specialized areas.

“I passed the exam back in July and received my registration number shortly after. The interface you guys offer is very effective and easy to use. I’ll be sure to recommend Patent Education Series to individuals at our firm interested in taking the Patent Bar. Many thanks to you and your team.”

Employees have access to their own progress tracking within the course, including completed modules, quiz scores, and practice exam results. They can share this information directly with firm administrators. We’re also happy to provide general progress updates on request — just reach out and let us know what would be helpful.
Yes. Once your firm is set up with a coupon code, we can reactivate or extend it for additional seats at the same volume pricing.
