Patent Bar Review Course September 2015 Upgrades

Are you thinking about preparing for the Patent Bar exam?  It’s our goal to create the most efficient and streamlined course available.  Here’s a quick list of the latest additions to our Patent Bar review course:

1. We’ve added in a Social Community. The community is just getting started, but it’s our hope that you’ll use this area of the course to meet other enrollees. You can network with them for job advice as well as collaborate and study with each other. The community also includes a place to chat with other enrollees.

The community was just launched a few days ago, but we have a lot in store for it including the addition of a dedicated success moderator to help you get the most out of the course and move forward with your career in patent law.

2. Glossary terms embedded throughout the course to enhance their usability.
You don’t have to visit the glossary section of the course to review these detailed definitions. You can now click on the terms in several places throughout the course to review their meaning.

3. Timers that give you estimates for the audio and video portions of the course as well as time estimates for the completion of the quizzes.
This will help you be more productive with your time.

4. MPEP Breakdown course that walks you through the main chapter topics of the MPEP.
Take advantage of the free MPEP Breakdown course available to everyone right from within the Patent Bar review.

5. Workbook pages include all the main section summaries on the page.
Open a quiz and review the main section summaries on the same page. If you find a section you need to further review, click on a link to be taken to that specific Guidebook section. This saves you valuable time while studying.

6. Dedicated pages for each topic practice exam.
The topic exam pages provide you with the number of questions along with a time estimate for completing that exam. We also include links to the resources you will need to complete each topic exam. You’re also given the heading and summary of each MPEP section tested in that topic along with links to the specific Guidebook section.

7. Updated look and feel.
More descriptions are available for what you’re learning as you move through the course. Icons to help you visualize where you’re at.

8. 35 U.S.C. and 37 C.F.R. Rankings.
These charts show the number of times any given law or rule has been tested on the exam. This includes actual numbers (where possible from old exams) and estimates based on current client feedback. The key shows the number of questions from any given law or rule estimated to be in the USPTO pool of Patent Bar questions.

So that’s what we’ve been hard at work on.  All these new additions have been added in very recently (over the last month).  The course now offers a sizeable number of tools, enough that you may not need to use them all in order to prepare for and pass the exam. And that’s great because now you have options and can pick and choose what works best for you as you move through the course.

We’re really excited about the new community and look forward to building it out and turning it into a highly valuable tool for networking and collaborating with fellow members of the course.

And like always, there’s still more in the works.

We do expect to raise the price of the course soon and will keep you posted as to when exactly that will happen along with future updates to the course.
